Booster Club to host 1st Annual Golf Tournament

The Cougar Booster Club will be hosting it's first annual golf tournament April 19, 2013.  With proceeds towards supporting Cougar Athletics, the four-person team tournament will be held at StoneRidge Country Club in Great Bend beginning with a 1:00 p.m. shotgun start.  Entry fee is $100 per person which includes golf cart and fees.  Hole prizes and raffle items also available.

Barton Athletics inducts three to Sports Hall of Fame

The Barton Community College Athletic Department inducted three individuals to its Sports Hall of Fame Saturday afternoon at the Kirkman Activity Center on Barton’s campus. Established in 2000, the 2013 inductee class of Kurt Budke, Steve Johnson, and Larry Schugart joined forty-eight previous inductees to the prestigious Hall of Fame.

Johnson was a former baseball player for the Cougars while Schugart is being honored for his contributions to Cougar Athletics.  Budke, a former men’s basketball player, was honored posthumously.

 

Schedule of Events
Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Barton Community College

3:00 p.m. – Induction Ceremony located on lower level of the Kirkman Activity Center on the Barton campus.  Admission is free and public is encouraged to attend.

5:30 p.m. – Barton women’s basketball versus Seward County Community College

*7:15 p.m. - *Approximate time. Inductees will be presented with Hall of Fame plaques between the women's and men’s basketball game.

7:30 p.m. – Barton men’s basketball versus Seward County Community College

Sunday Sept 30 - Meet the Cougars & Booster Club Kick-Off Picnic

Join us Sunday September 30 at Jack Kilby Square in downtown Great Bend for our annual Meet the Cougars family event and Booster Club Kick-Off picnic.  Meal provided along hearing from Barton Coaches and student-athlete introductions.  

Memberships available

Memberships to both the Cougar Booster Club and Cougar Den are available.  Booster Club memberships are only $25 for individuals or only $40 as a couple/family.   Enjoy the benefits of being a member of the Cougar Den during home basketball games by adding a Cougar Den membership.  Den memberships are $60 for individuals, $100 for couples/families.
