Cruising to Jayhawk West win, Cougars move into second place

It wasn’t the dominating performance the Barton Community College men’s basketball team had three days prior, but the No. 10 ranked Cougars had complete control in its 88-76 victory Saturday night over Pratt Community College at the Barton gym.  After tying the game at two apiece, Barton stretched a twelve point halftime advantage to fifteen points in the second half and cruised to the Jayhawk West win.   The Cougars, 19-2 on the season and in second place in the conference at 5-2, drop Pratt below .500 to 10-11 overall and 1-6 in conference.  Barton will travel to Concordia to take on Cloud County Community College Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m. The Thunderbirds, 14-7 overall and 4-3 in conference, are coming off a tough 64-56 loss at Hutchinson where they led by thirteen and held Hutch to four first half field goals.
