The Barton Community College volleyball team will picked up some votes but didn’t get enough to crack the NJCAA preseason Top 25 poll released earlier this month. The Cougars are among just 3 teams to receive votes and not make the poll. Pratt was the highest rated team from Jayhawk Conference in the poll, coming in at No. 14 while Seward joined them in the Top 25 at No. 17.
In addition to those 2 teams which Barton will play a total of 5 times, the Cougars will also see several ranked teams along the way including No. 15 Seminole State (Okla) the opening weekend at the Barton Gym. The Cougars will take on Seminole State August 27 at 7 pm in the final contest of the day the opening Friday of play the Barton Invitational. Labor Day weekend Barton will see 3 ranked teams in Pratt, Panola (Texas) and Casper (Wyom) in Invitational play at Borger, Texas.
