The Barton Community College women's soccer team won today at Cougar Field 2-0 against Allen Community College.   The Lady Cougars improve to 8-6-1 on the season while remaining tied for fourth place at 7-3 with just two games remaining.  Barton concludes their regular season home schedule this Friday at Cougar Field in a 4:00 p.m. kick-off against No. 11 nationally ranked Butler Community College

The Lady Cougars got on the scoreboard with just under seventeen minutes remaining in the first half as Jennifer Allende followed a missed shot which gave Barton the lead it would carry into halftime.   Monica McCarthy sealed the victory with four minutes remaining in the second half as she too followed a Cougar missed shot.

“I was proud of the girls effort today,” said Barton Women’s Soccer Head Coach Shawn Uhlenhake. “Back to back games are difficult and to come away with a win today is great.  “Everyone is contributing and we are playing like a team.”
