Women's Soccer predicted sixth in KJCCC conference

Despite finishing fourth in the conference and making it to the region semifinals, the women’s soccer team is predicted by conference coaches to finish sixth in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference.  The #3 ranked men’s soccer team is predicted to finish first after winning the conference and regional title last year.

Both soccer teams open the 2011 season this week-end at the new soccer/track complex on the Barton campus. The Cougar men will play Friday at 5:00pm against Kansas Wesleyan JV, and again on Sunday against No. 7 Otero College, CO,  at 2:00pm.  The Lady Cougars, under first-year head coach Shawn Uhlenhake, start season play at noon Saturday against Cisco, TX, and against Northwest College, WY, at noon on Sunday.
